The range includes general purpose motors, C Face mount motors, stainless steel washdown motors and NEMA DC motors for replacement, retrofit and OEM applications. Popular series include the VP, CD, CDP, EM, VM, CEM, VEM and VESS ranges, with foot, flange and face mount configurations available to suit a wide variety of industrial equipment.

We stock selected Baldor Reliance motor series off the shelf, with additional models available on request. The Baldor Reliance range includes both AC and DC motors for replacement, retrofit and OEM applications. Below are the most common in New Zealand.

Baldor Reliance VP Series DC motors are designed for variable speed applications requiring controlled speed and torque. The range is commonly used on manufacturing machinery, conveyors, process equipment and gearbox applications with existing DC drive systems.

VP  motors are available from 1/3 HP (0.25 kW) to 5 HP (3.7 kW), with a range of frame and mounting configurations available for replacement and retrofit applications.

Baldor Reliance CDP Series DC motors are NEMA (imperial) motors suited to DC replacement and retrofit applications. The 3436 and 3440 models stocked by SOCO are 0.75 HP (0.55 kW) motors, commonly used on industrial machinery, conveyors and other equipment with existing DC drive systems.

The CDP range provides a practical option when replacing an existing NEMA DC motor, particularly where the existing mounting and drive arrangement need to be retained.

The Baldor Reliance CD3434 is a 0.33 HP (0.25 kW) NEMA DC motor with a 56C frame, 1,750 RPM base speed, TEFC enclosure and continuous duty rating.

The CD3434 is suited to DC motor replacement and retrofit applications where an existing DC drive system is being retained. Other Baldor CD Series DC motors are available on request for retrofit and application specific requirements.

The Baldor Reliance CEM3558T is a 2 HP (1.5 kW), three phase cast iron C Face motor with a 145TC frame and TEFC enclosure. It is suited to pumps, gearboxes and other direct coupled equipment where a C Face mounting is required.

The motor has a 1,750 RPM speed and is suitable for continuous duty industrial applications. The CEM3558T is a practical option for motor replacement and retrofit work where the existing mounting arrangement needs to be retained. Available off the shelf.

The Baldor Reliance EM3615T-57 is a 5 HP (3.7 kW), three phase cast iron motor with a 184T frame and TEFC enclosure. It has a 1,450 RPM speed and is suited to pumps, conveyors, fans, compressors and other general industrial equipment.

The EM3615T-57 is suitable for continuous duty applications and available off the shelf.

The Baldor Reliance VEM Series features IE3 premium efficiency, three phase cast iron motors with TEFC enclosures and C-Face mounting. The VEM3554T-57 is 1.5 HP (1.1 kW) and the VEM3558T-57 is 2 HP (1.5 kW), both with 145TC frames.

The VEM Series is suited to pumps, gearboxes and other direct coupled equipment. VEM3554T-57 and VEM3558T-57 are available off the shelf.

VESS series are stainless steel, three phase washdown motors designed for wet and regularly cleaned environments. The stainless steel construction and TEFC enclosure make the range well suited to food and beverage processing, packaging and other applications where equipment is frequently washed down.

The VESSWDM3554 is 1.5 HP (1.1 kW) with a 56C frame, while the VESSWDM3714T is 10 HP (7.5 kW) with a 215TC frame. Both models are available off the shelf.

VM Series are three phase cast iron motors with TEFC enclosures for general industrial applications. The VM3534-57 is 0.33 HP (0.25 kW) and the VM3537-57 is 0.5 HP (0.37 kW), with both models supplied in a 56C frame.

The VM Series is suited to smaller pumps, fans, conveyors and other industrial machinery. VM3534-57 and VM3537-57 are available off the shelf.
